The trail is well-marked and offers hikers a wonderful experience in the African bushveld. The first kilometre is flat and crosses a gently flowing stream. Then the challenge begins! The route continues up a steep incline along the mountainside, requiring several short breaks to catch our breath. The climb requires a good level of fitness and some technical ability to maintain your footing.

Once at the top of the mountain, we were rewarded with exquisite views of the Cradle of Humankind and Hartbeeshoek. The trail follows the plateau before heading down a fairly steep descent, where balance and care are needed. Once at the bottom, we followed the trail back to the resort
