B'sorah Trails Hike

B'sorah Luxury Tent & Venue was the place for Voets Toets Hiking year-end hike. It's situated near the Magaliesburg mountain range and boasts 1600 hectares of beautiful land. It's a family run farm where they breed cattle as well as offer hiking trails and MTB tracks to those that love the outdoors. There is an assortment of game such as antelope, warthogs, monkeys and the most beautiful birdlife. The love and care put into the farm is clearly evident in its surroundings and upkeep.
The routes offered range from 5 -18km
The trails are well marked and easy to navigate.
Merrell shoes, walking stick, water, a cooling towel, aqua shoes (recommended) and fruit/snacks
Route:
Trails are well marked. It is not a technical trail, so it's ideal for families with little ones to have a day of adventure. A lot of the trail was shady and covered by trees which protected us from the current heatwave in Gauteng. About 6km into the trail we reached the meandering stream running on the farm. It brought a much-needed cool down and we were able to take a refreshing swim. It is a beautiful trail with picturesque valleys and stunning views.

Field Notes:
We always recommend Merrell shoes and a hiking stick for those tricky areas. In the current heat, adequate hydration and a cooling towel will be of great help. Aqua shoes to take a dip in the river is a good idea. We were fortunate enough to receive a Hikers' breakfast hamper from B'sorah Trails where we were given an assortment of yummy quiches, sandwiches, and muffins for our picnic break👌

B'sorah is an adventurous day out with a trail that offers such beauty and a variety of landscapes to explore. We had a lekker braai with our hiking buddies after the hike at one of the luxury-tented camps. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. Braaing/picnicking needs to be booked in advance.
