Sometimes you just need to improve your pace and work on your stamina. We chose The Big Red Barn to do just that because it is easy, flat and suitable for the whole family. The trail is very well marked.

Route:
A fun walk, especially for beginners and mostly in the shade. The route starts at the yellow kiosk where you can purchase your tickets and obtain your armbands.

Since this trail is mostly flat, a good pair of hiking boots is always a win.

Trail Log:
This trail is very shady, and pleasant. There are some interesting buildings along the way as you meander through the 10km trail. It is a good place to clear your head and quiet your mind.
You will hike alongside the Mountain Bikers but they have their own trail. You will simply hear them whisking past you.
It is a safe trail should you wish to do a solo hike.
There is a lovely restaurant at the end if you want to refuel.
They have a market at certain times of the month.
There are tons of activities for the whole family and it is definitely child-friendly.
