4km workout done in less than 2 hours

Route:

There is only one trail which is very short but you can repeat it by reversing the trail. That way you will no doubt get a very good 4km workout done in less than 2 hours. We of course always pause for a photo, a view and a snack.

For me, hiking is not about the pace but always about the experience in nature, the attention to detail on the trail and pausing to embrace the view.

Field Notes:

This trail was quite rocky despite that it was not difficult at all so your footwear is important. This will ensure that your ankles and knees are well guarded.

I struggle with collapsed arches and flat feet. My Merrell footwear has proven to be very comfortable and secure on the hikes that I have done.

Trail Log:

The route was simple and well carved out with rocks and easy to follow. There are signs along the way with interesting nuggets of this lovely venue.

At first I thought I was going to be doing a solo hike but when I eventually found the venue after 30 minutes of driving in the area, I was delighted to find our group of hikers already stretching and getting ready to hike. Thanks to our Recce Team member, Gizelle Kelly.
We had 8 new members join us for the first time which is always a plus for us.

The start of the trail presented us with a minor ascent and somewhat rocky but absolutely possible before reaching a stunning view point of the city. The freeway is just a stone's throw away.

The trail is well kept and marked making it easy to navigate through it. There are animals on this trail that we did see as we were leaving.
There is no cost for this trail.

No booking is required.
