The trail we selected was manageable and easily navigated. The beginning of the hike took us deep into the valley before we ascended the mountain in search of our first lookout point. The view of the surrounding lands once we reached the top was breathtaking!

After a short break, we proceeded back down the path towards the trail split. It was rocky terrain, so we had to ensure good footing throughout the hike. Once at the split, we headed up the opposite mountainside towards the rear end of the property. Here, we discovered the sunset lookout point, which would absolutely be incredible to witness. The word 'Kianga' originates from the African region and holds the beautiful meaning of sunshine. After taking in the stunning views, we proceeded along the trail, which led us back to the lodge.

A hiking stick is a must in this sort of terrain, and our preferred Merrell hiking boots kept us sturdy throughout the trail. Sunscreen and hat protection is a must, and always make sure you have enough hydration. Energy snacks and fruit are also a necessity.
