The trail starts at the main lodge. The route was easily navigated and well-marked. It's a flat trail on a wide dirt road. The surroundings were peaceful with vast bushveld all around. We had the privilege of seeing wildebeest and antelope en route.

It was a scorching day, so good sun protection and a wide-brimmed hat are a necessity. There is little to no shade on the 7km route, so ensure enough hydration. Our preferred Merrell trail runners gave us the comfort and support we needed.
