We started our hike with a steep incline up the mountainside. Once at the top, we had a beautiful view of the surrounding area. The trail then led us back down into farmland, where we saw horses and cow's grazing. The mixture of agricultural land and bushveld savanna provides a unique hiking experience. We passed the Swartspruit dam where ducks were enjoying their surroundings. It's an easily navigated route that takes you through rolling hills, lush greenery, and sightings of diverse wildlife.

It was a rainy morning, so protective gear was needed. A trekking pole came in handy when navigating the slippery path. The sun eventually made an appearance, and not before long, it was sweltering. Adequate hydration is always a must. Our Merrell hiking boots kept us sturdy in the muddy and rocky terrain.
